At some point in their lives many women experience some form of bladder, bowel or pelvic floor weakness. This can include stress and urge urinary incontinence, bowel incontinence problems and pelvic floor weakness following childbirth or gynaecological issues such as prolapse.
Physiotherapy is an excellent first line treatment for pelvic floor problems and the majority of cases respond well to therapy. Symptoms can vary greatly and our Physiotherapist provides specialist assessment and treatment for a variety of conditions
Treatment for pregnancy related issues
Physiotherapy during and after pregnancy can help to prevent or manage pain symptoms which can arise due to the everyday stresses on the body during the childbearing months. Symptoms of back pain, pelvic or hip pain are common and respond well to our specialist assessment and manual therapy techniques.
Our Physiotherapist can also give you advice on how to exercise during and after your pregnancy to keep you fit and healthy, designing a programme especially for your needs.
